About to get a 07 G35

Hello all,

I finally decided to buy a new car and I choose the Infiniti G35 Sedan. The agent I'm dealing with has few colors left in his store and I need to choose one. I checked White, Silver, Blue Slate, Black and Red. I'm between 2 options and I can't really choose which, Blue Slate with Wheat Interior or Black Obsidian with Graphite Interior. We live in hot weather most of the year...so black may be hotter than any other color.

Your opinions my help me choose.

Advice me as a new G35 Owner, is there anything I should do or anything I should avoid when I first get the car?

Thanks
Vito

That's easy:

BLUE SLATE

With that said, you may want to check these two threads to help you come to a decision:

Black Obsidian Pics

Blue Slate Pics

You can't go wrong with either. Most importantly: Congrats and welcome to the club.

I love the IP/Graphite combo (with 35% tint all around) but I'm guessing that isn't available, both the BO and BS look great on the second gen sedan so you really can't go wrong. I'm not a big fan of the wheat interior because it gets dirty too easily in my opinion, but take that for what it's worth. Good luck with your decision and welcome to G35Driver!

I just bought the Black one last week. You are going to wash it often, but I love to do it so... If you don't mind the fact it gets dirty faster I would by black ( it's the new white ). The car looks better black, but I agree Blue is nice too

Lakeshore Slate!!! lol ok i'm being bias.... I love black or red but they are hard to keep up with.. easily gets dirty.. white one is really nice or blue slate.. silver is too common but i love how it could hide the dirt/dust easily

If it's usually hot and sunny like you said it is, then go with the lightest cooler available with a tint, like Christian N said. Light colors and tint make a huge difference.

I like the graphite (black) interior. IMO, black interiors look better years later than non-black interiors. They "age" better, and as mentioned, don't show dirt as easily. I have the liquid platinum (silver) exterior, and love it. It was a tough choice between liquid platinum and black. The black looks great when the car has just been washed and waxed. The liquid platinum looks better than black when they're both not very clean (which, in my situation, is more often the case).

I'm a PG guy, so since you can't get that your car will obviously be slower than mine But if it were me, Blue Slate all the way.
