I kinda like it. I drive fast anyways though.

My wife still hasn't gotten used to it.

It just took some getting used to. I went from a high stalled v8 so this overly responsive throttle was a huge difference. I am getting used to it but it does want to just take off with the slightest push. could be a bit smoother in my opinion but take the good with the bad

I love the sensitive pedal because that is what feedback is all about. Having an insensitive pedal is like having a pc with 400Mhz. Takes 4 hrs to respond to a double click. I can drive the car smooth if I have passengers and drive aggressively when I'm by myself, I love it.

My .02 - I don't even have 100 miles on the car yet ('07 Auto Sedan) but the throttle is already starting to annoy me. Throttle hesitation followed by a big lunge forward. I'm running a lot of A/C load right now, which may affect it, but I'd be interested in a fix too. Even a slightly higher idle may help.

^^ Try moving your foot up higher on the pedal, it's hinged differently than most so it has more range of motion at the top.

I'd like to see some aftermarket software that removes the bs "acceleration swell" and replaces the throttle position with something linear. Sometimes I swear the throttles are fully open when the pedal's only 1/2 down - pressing further makes no difference.

I've gotten used to it, but occasionally I'm in situations where I need to accelerate quickly, but would prefer to do so in such a way as to not get the "head is slammed against the headrest" syndrome. Doesn't affect me actually, but affects the passenger. I switch back and forth between my G35 and my wife (an SUV with a V8 engine), so I still need to keep in mind that the G35's acceleration isn't quite linear like most cars. It would be easier if the G35 is the only car I drove, but I switch back and forth between the G35 and my wife's car (or rental cars), and one needs to remember to be gentle on the G35's acceleration "characteristic".

I had issues with this, 6MT, cause I would over rev... but I love it now! Sometimes in close situations or tailgators on hills... I over rev a little... but when I get ready to drop the clutch and go... I like the quick response!

This throttle response was one of the main reasons I decided against the G35 last year. I guess I was looking for a more smooth acceleration and to take off when I mash the pedal. I still look at G35s that drive by and think they look great though.

I've heard comments from passengers on more that one occasion, although said in a joking manner I know whats behind the joke. I too have a main car that I drive in the summer, it has 450hp+ and I'll take that throttle response over my G35 any day of the week. I can be hard or gentle on the throttle without having to think about it, the G35 I have not gotten use to after 8,000 miles on odometer. I can control it if I think about it by placing my foot directly flat on the pedal but this is impractical for the stop and go traffic that I drive. For those that enjoy it more power to ya', for me I'll be the first to get the fix. Please! let there be a fix!!!

I like to control a car, and not have it control me. This is the problem with the throttle. It is hard to reproduce acceleration the way I want it. I like going fast and having a responsive throttle but it should be when called for. If I want to move quickly then I hit the throttle hard and the car should respond. But I should not have to think about it every time the light turns green and I wonder about my foot placement. It is just way too sensitive at the low end.
I can understand that Infiniti may not want to call this a problem. Instead let them call it a difference in taste, and offer an alternative to those who would like a car that obeys.

like Planar said, if you place your whole foot on the pedal there doesn't seem to have a problem. On my TL you can tap the bottom of the pedal, but th G is kinda like a benz where you have to drive with your whole foot.

This TSB may also be a solution for this problem.

Itb07-028 Cruise Control Surges When Going Downhill.

I have not heard if anybody has applied it and whether it resolved the problem. It may also be related to the slight hesitation and then jerk forward when first applying the throttle in lower gears for those that have the 6MT.
