I was debating if I should take my car in for the 15k mile service and decided not to.

I just went to a Nissan dealer and asked them for an oil change. I took my own oil and watched them put it in.

The total was less than 20 bucks... I'll check the stuff on the maintenance list myself.

 

Hmmm...when I schedule an appointment, the service department pretty much askes me what I need done to the car. I'll tell them "Oil and tire rotation and please look over the car to see what else you can find. Please print me an itemized bill detailing all potential work on the car and every charge." Then and only then will I decide what else must be taken care of that day. I've been lucky...the service dept. has been extremely honest. $600 is, uh...way too much, imo.

 

holy sh** most of the service is just inspection, 500 for them to look at sh** visualy, forget that, DAMN THIEVES
