Splash Guards install
Has anybody ever installed their own splash guards? I did a quick search, and it seems as if there is some question on different ways to do it but for the most part it seems somewhat simple.
Reason I ask, I was just quoted $115 for instal from the dealer, and that seems a little ridiculous because it looks like they are just screwed in and held with a little adhesive. I just want to make sure I know what I'm getting myself into before I try to do it myself.

Is this just for the install or includes splash guards?
If it includes, good deal. If not it is easy to install. You just need to be able to get the car off the ground high enough to be able to drill a few holes.
I did mine own and it took couple of hours.

Its mostly doulble stick tape on the sides and some clips on the bottom. Holes should already be there. Never go to the dealer for installs unless you want to leave with your booty sore.

It does not include the splash guards themselves...$115 just for install, thus why I'm already feeling ripoff. They are selling parts for $120, but I have found them online for about $85.
I saw the holes there, and I've read in some posts that you have to drill, others that you have to at least puncture the liner inside the well. That is what scares me.

There's some drilling involved. But it's a quick and easy install. One thing is that the instructions ask you to use metric sized drill bits. Who has metric drill bits?? Just use the closest size.
My wife installed them in about an hour while I drank beer and watched. No kidding.

I installed mine myself. They holes are NOT already there and you have to drill your own using the template that is included with the splashguards. I installed mine back in the spring and IIRC, you only have to drill one hole per splashguard. They are not hard to install at all, but just take your time and make sure you use the template that is included.
I got so sick of the bugs, frog guts, dead animals, plus all the rocks, and gravel, getting thrown up on the bottom of the rocker panels, and the lower body, i went and got some big old mud flaps and screwd em right into the WORTHLESS factory flaps, that really, don't block or stop much of anything
these babys are like 9 inches wide! got the front ones about 3.5 inches of the ground, and the rears about 4.5 talk about protection!! they are 50/50 plastic and rubber so they flex and will not break! actually make the car look lower from certain rear views. believe me i try to avoid ANYTHING on the roads that will damage or get car dirtier than normal. I am working on getting pics if anyone is interested....
