quick question about opening/closing windows

i know that holding the unlock button from a distance can lower all the windows, but is there anyway i can close all the windows from away ? ive tried using the actual key to hold it leftward in the door handle and that works, but i just assumed that there woudl also be a shortcut to close all the windows from away ? any help ? thanks =]

You can't close remotely. To much liability if someone were caught in the window and you were not there to respond.

Yeah this is the same in bmw's and many other lux cars. However, I know that for bmw there are a few companies that have made a hack for the remote to allow for remote roll up. Don't know about g35's though.

If you wish to have it you have to buy a module. Not that pricey.

+1 on KP. I had their rollup chip in the coupe and it worked great.

I'm not sure, I was under the belief that it just bypasses the warning screen that the lawyers thought was a swell idea to have put in.

iirc i could roll up with the remote on my a4. same as rolling down but press and hold the lock button. i havent tried on the g35. i RARELY use the roll down feature as i never take the i key out of my pocket.

I used this feature a few times, to get the heat out of the car when parked outside on a 100 degree weather, would be nice though if i could use the remote to close it as well...

As long as the products are installed correctly you have nothing to worry about. Do some searches on here for people who have these products - there are rarely any issues at all, even years after they were installed. The failure rate for these products is also extremely low.

Most of these products were actually designed specifically for G35s (I own an '04 coupe that all the testing is done on) so there typically arn't any surprises.

i remember reading a while back on another nissan forum that the dealer can use the consult II programming to setup these types of things. it wouldnt hurt for someone to ask a nissan tech to do it. Or infiniti, whichever you choose.
