Best deal I'm finding right now is $900 over invoice on either a Prem or Prem/Nav all wheel drive.
They are also going to put on sports rims/tires, but want to charge me $1400 for it. Is this reasonable? Think it's about $400 from the factory.
Help!

nope not reasonable you can find another dealer with that car with the rims and tires for probably the same $900 over invoice (including the wheels in the invoice)

or you can go to a different dealer that has the exact specs that you want (w/o the rims and tires if you don't want it),
the best deals are the cars they have on the lot,
certain cars come with 'packages' that you may not necessarily want, but it's something they can't just take away,
but if it's not on the sticker (window), then it's something you can tell them that you don't want... i think 1400 may be the invoice price for the rims/tires.. don't remember (probably can find out thru edmunds or other sites), but it's definitely not worth it to me, since i'd rather spend that amount towards rims i really want...

Prices are all over the place!
After seeing the feedback, I conclude that if you are a good negotiator, you should be able to pay invoice for the car
Some member paid way too much compared to some even paid below invoice. Unless you are in a small town where there is only one dealer, you should be able to pay invoice or lower for the car, especially between now and just after the new year when car buying is at it's slowest. I plan to buy my 2008 between X'mas and new year.

Hey all! I'm new to the board, but in the process of purchasing a G35. This is what I've negotiated thus far:
2008 G35 Sport
Liquid Platinum
Graphite Leather
Premium Package
Navigation Package
Automatic
Rear Spoiler
$37,048 plus 6% state tax (Florida).
Thoughts?
That is through one dealer. There is another dealer in Clearwater that I could try to play off of, I'm just not sure if or how much more they will come down on the price.
If I build the same car at Edmunds.com, the invoice price comes out to $37,331 with a TMV of $39,880.

, a thousand dollars below invoice. Because it would be end of the month and end of the year for the dealer, which is the best time to buy a car, not to mention it would be the slowest time of the year for the dealer. I plan to buy my 2008 after X'mas, just before the New Year
I know this is a 08 thread, but I've negotiated a deal for a left over 07 G35S, nav/prem/tech/no active steering, MSRP 40,165.
They'll sell for invoice, $36.4K
I'm working on getting them to thrown in options like clear bra, 12mo XM, sunroof deflector, wheel locks and include it in the invoice price. I mean, it's a year old car already, right?

there's actually an 07 thread,
but yeah, for the 07, you def should get it below invoice, or at invoice with a whole bunch of stuff added on,
if not, you can always get the 08 at invoice (if you're willing to drive around for deals)

invoice / MSRP
08 Journey 29480 / 32050
P01 prem 2155 / 2500
U01 navi 1853 / 2150
S01 sport 1422 / 1650
R10 spoiler 474 / 550
Destination 715 / 715
TOTAL 36099 / 39615 (Edmunds TMV=39188)
At $37048 I think you being quoted about $950 above invoice, not $300 below.

Yea, I built it wrong. When I was looking at it, I didn't realize that in order to get the Sport package with an auto transmission that you need to build a Journey with a sports package. There were also some other things on the car that I hadn't built into it. I was checking prices via email with the Internet Sales Manager, so I didn't have all the stats on the car at the time.
