Trunk size?

My understanding that the trunk size is 13.5 cu in. It is considered larger than most for this class (ie subcompact car). Not actually the having the G35yet, as the mine is on order, can the trunk hold 2 golf bags?

What about a large bag for baseball, that is a mizuno baseball about 3-4 ft long, and about 1 foot wide, by 1 foot deep? I will need to shuttle kids back and forth from practice and little league games in the G.

And with kids do you think the stone interior or the black interior is preferred?

TIA,
Lunchman

Can't help you with the rest but the answer to that question should be obvious. The trunk is decent size but it has a small opening.

To answer your cargo question.... YES the trunk of the sedan will hold 2 golf bags. Although I have not tried it, the baseball gear bag should fit easily.

As for the interior, all I can tell you is that nothing is safe from small children. My graphite interior is always scruffed up from their shoes and stuff (easy to clean though). My tan leather of my other car also gets a beating from the kids.

Why don't you take your gear to the dealer and check teh fitment?

I actually had 3 golf bags in mine...plus 3 shoe bags...two backpacks...and a case of beer.

And gugarci is right...I have stone and I feel like I'm always cleaning mine and I don't even have kids. Go with charcoal.

I've had 4 golf bags in my trunk and it fit okay. The trunk is biggest in it's class so it's a decent size. The only downside is the width of the opening if you have the trunk mounted CD Changer.

So that's what they have mounted in the trunk opening. I thought it looked like a CD changer but I didn't ask the sales rep. The really should move it. Has anyone here been able to move it???

Trunk Size

I have a large golf bag, a bag of soccer *****, and a large duffle bag in my trunk and there is still more room. It is not huge by any means, but more will fit.

The only issue I have is the opening is tight, so I have to put one end of my clubs in first.

Actually, with the CD changers in the back, it's kinda narrow when you're trying to put in travel bags in there... But without it (no premium package perhaps?), it should be okay.

As far as for the golf bags, I've put in 3 before WITH the cd changer in the way. It was kinda hard to put in because I didn't want to scratch the trunk interior, but wasn't THAT hard. LOL

Went shooting the other day with some antique rifles, Trapdoor Springfields, Martini-Henrys, etc., which are quite long - most about 48" to 50", and everything fit in the trunk of my '07 Sedan except the 54" long Snider-Enfield. That had to stick out the pass-through!

That's interesting - the G is classed as a sub-compact? Surprising, I figured it would be in the compact class. What's a Mini or Yaris - nano-class?

Is the g35 a subcompact? No. I must have been thinking about the IS350 when I wrote that. The G35 is a compact.

Actually the G35 is officially a midclass:
http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bycla...Cars2007.shtml
and
http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/noframes/23574.shtml

The trunk is pretty good. It's limited significantly by the opening though. I've priced out the trunk roof liner (87 bucks and change) and when I get around to it, I'm probably going to remove the CD changer and replace it with the base model's trunk roof liner to open up the opening a bit more.

edit: err. at least the '07 is midclass. The first gen is compact.

I have an 07 G Journey and I find the trunk small. ( last car was a 3.2TL which had a much bigger trunk ) The G will fit one set of clubs and a full size suitcase or two full size suitcases. Part of the problem is the opening being restricted. Anyway, given how much I like the rest of the car - I'm ignoring the size of the trunk.

Just yanked the CD changer out of my trunk. Wasn't using it anyway. Taking my dad to the airport tomorrow so we'll see if it's a little more spacious now. Anyone want to buy a barely used 6-disc changer? And does anyone have a non-cd-changer trunk liner for sale?
