Had An 07 Loaner

I had a 07 loaner yesterday and liked some things and didn't like some things.
The keyless is great but the tack and speedo switch isn't cool. Still need better seats the sport seats are sweet looking but the stock seats are that great. Next the power over my 04 WOW would have been better if not awd.

Agreed! Had an 05 coupe, now an 07 G35X and the gauges are way better now.

I had a loaner this week and I have a few observations.. went from my loaded 07Sport to a base 07x.

1.) I use the paddles more then I thought I did... there were many times when I wanted to slap the pedal but they weren't there.

2.) The sport seats are 2000% better then the regular. atleast for me who is normal in size.

3.) I don't know how I could live without the SOW and Nav now that I have integrated into my driving..

4.) The loaner had 2900 miles on it, and I'm sure people abused it, but the Sport (atleast mine) is noticeable faster and handling is significantly better, steering is much tighter and more controlled, the 4WAS is a worthwhile upgrade.

It was a great feeling after getting my car back, I definitely made the right decision and not to be down on the base/x, but it's not nearly as impressive of a car...

Yeah me neither. I think its funny when people complain about the sport seats...the only people who'd find them uncomfortable are people on the heavy side.

i think the tires on the sport makes handling feel much better. i find my sport squats noticeably under hard acceleration, so the stock suspension is not that stiff.

I test-drove an 07 X in June before settling on the coupe instead, and I couldn't believe how soft it was. It had been a while since I'd first test-driven the G35 (when it first came out) but I remember the old one being much firmer and more responsive than the 07.

Comparing an 07 X to an 03 X is apples to oranges? I wasn't saying I was comparing the 07 X to the 07 coupe, just that I eventually went with the coupe.

How is your Sport noticeably faster than the base???

If you have a 6MT, the 5AT is only a couple tenths slower in the quarter mile according to magazine times.

If you have a 5AT, I would still think your fully loaded sport model has a weight disadvantage.

I can't really explain it. I have the auto, but the car was slower, not just slower in feel, but in the 60-80 it didn't have the same power.

I'll also add that mine has a noticeably deeper growl coming from the exhaust. mine at 6500rpm is deep, the loaner x was not very deep and it was quieter. two people pointed that out to me.

maybe it was just the loaner I had... or maybe I lucked out with a fantastic build. dunno, can't explain it but it's real.

Maybe regular unleaded was used in the loaner?

Oh sorry, I didn't read clearly. Thought your loaner was a base base, not a base X. I wonder what the weight difference is between a fully loaded sport and a base X.
