3M clear bra
3M clear bra
Hi all, I need help deciding. Has anyone ordered this set, as far as quality and fitment?

And, I would prefer professional installation but anyone with experience on own installs can chime in. Thanks for any tips here.

That's a great price if the film is for real and not imitation. I paid a lot more from "ClearMask".
I got the top portion (the set around the grille) and the bottom (bumper piece and the two lower spoiler portions). Installed both myself. Not a perfect job but it'll do; can't really tell they're there unless you get right up to the car.
The piece around the grille was relatively easy. Took about 2 hrs just because it was my first and I didn't know the tricks. Just be careful around the concave areas.
The bumper portion was a b****h!!! Took me about five hours. The area below the headlights and curving from the front to the side took a lot or work and patience. A lot of trial and error of fitting, peeling, stretching, and refitting. I got the Aerogard stuff (without the clear coat) and the stuff stretches really well. It was a lot work but worth it (and I didn't feel like paying someone else to do it).
The top of the hood shouldn't be too bad. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

I just had the 3M clear film applied by a professional last week. Watching him do it, I can't see how I could have applied myself and look anywhere near as good as he did it. He's done dozens of these and knows all the tricks. It took him about 3 hours to do all the pieces on the bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors. He told me he buys the film in bulk and cuts the patterns with a chart plotter, so it's a little cheaper and the pieces he cut for my car were costing him about $150 in materials.
I'm taking the car to south Florida on I-75 next week (lots of gravel trucks on the freeway) so we'll see how it holds up.
