I read the Faq section and forum member acidrane used 5.25 qts. I changed my oil yesterday and used 5 1/8 qts as indicated in the owners manual. I checked for leaks ran the car and let it sit level for 20 mins. My dipstick is reading slightly below the upper dot/fill mark. For those of you that have changed your own oil how many quarts did you use to refill ?

 

After 20 minutes mine also showed a bit below the dot. I let the car sit overnight and checked it next morning and it was right at the dot. I used 5 1/8 quarts w/ new oil filter.

BTW, anyone else think this is an awfully small filter for such a hot motor??

 

Yeah the filter seems small for a 3.5 liter engine...
