Tried to get the CC flash yesterday...

So I called my dealer early in the week and told him I was coming in on friday at about 2:30 to get an oil change and the CC fixed as well as for them to look at my passenger airbag light which does not seem to work right.

I get there at 2:30 sharp. They get my car in really fast. Then I wait.... for an hour and a half. Then my car is "ready". I talk to the service guy and he said they did everything except the passenger airbag light fix and the CC fix.

me:So you guys only changed the oil? And it took you an hour and a half?
them: yea but we washed it.
me: ok...
them: well you will need to come back for the CC TSB because they take hours and hours to do and we do not have enough time right now.
me: I drove 2 hours to get here. This is not a simple drop by for me.
them: oh well sorry but we dont have the time.
me: ok whatever, did you guys document it in the service book.
them: yea we should have.

I check and they did not. I took it back to him and he signed off on it. I was very frustrated. Overall I was disappointed in the service quality since they had all week to find out how long it takes to do it and then tell me they can't. If I would have known they could not do it I would not have driven 2 hours for an oil change... Plus looking on this site I see the TSB takes like 0.6 hours to do.... maybe I am wrong....

At least you can get in the same week, in Calgary you need to book 3 weeks in advance to get an oil change and you need to leave your car the whole day! You need to book even farther in advance if you're going to need a loaner.

yeah the manager for the maintenance area was a real dick to me. i wanted to wait for him to get off work so i could kick his ***...they also took 2 hrs to change my oil, missed all my classes. i asked them if they would refund my money for missing classes and more smartass remarks from them...money is time and in two hours i can definitely make more than 30 bucks

So far I am happy with my dealer/service department. They fix everything, for oil change no need appointment.Although I usually ask the week before so I don't have to wait more than an hour. If I needed a loaner it is pre arranged for me. I am happy.

I always get a loaner.

He probably didn't because of the 2 hour drive.

This is why I wish we could service our vehicles at Nissan dealerships.

It's the surging (downhill) Cruise control Service bulletin fix.

same thing i was wondering...i even asked them are you guys giving me a loaner? and the lady at the desk said we don't give loaners for oil changes unless you have to be somewhere. she then asks, "do you have to be anywhere?" and i tell her, i have two classes to take. then she just figured it wasn't important.

how do you get a loaner? do you have to specifically say, I want a loaner...from what i've been reading on the forums i thought they gave loaners anytime you went in for a service

Ask for a loaner when you setup service. I.E. when you call to set the appointment. They have to line it up in advance.
