Windshield Wiper malfunction

Hi all!

I just bought an 07 G35X a couple of weeks ago. I love the car after putting 850 miles on it in 2 weeks. Today is the first day I've driven in the rain and thus the first day of using the wipers. I was on my way home about 15 minutes into the drive, the wipers on the whole time set on intermittent. I'm on the highway, and I notice that my windshield suddenly has a lot of rain on it, so without thinking about when the last time the wipers wiped, I turn the intermitent setting to wipe faster. Nothing. Then I switched the wipers to low. Nothing. Then to high. Nothing. At this point it is getting harder to see out the windshield. I move the lever up to mist. Nothing. I go through all the settings again, and still nothing. After moving it around for about two minutes, I decide it isn't going to be fixed by me while driving so I just shut it off and concentrate on the road through the impaired view. After a minute or two, I try mist again, and it works. I move it to intermittent and it works. Everything works just fine now. Just a temporary glitch I suppose.

Anyone else ever experience this? I'm planning on taking it to the dealer tonight to have them check it out if they can.

Nope, have neither experienced nor heard about this. Sounds like a loose connector somewhere.

Haven't seen that - hate it happened to you, but I hope it's an isolated incident. Drove today for the first time in the rain and didn't have any problems with the wipers. Keep us posted if you decide to visit your service department.
