I got back from the dealer ship about 1 hour ago. I have notice my car shift much smoother. I have not done any WOT. I just wonder if they have reset my ECU or the really flashed it. The guy was a big a-hole + Douchebag(i hate those service people). This is what they wrote down MISC-Engine Mechanical - A0001. and it says Factory. I don't know if that's re-flash. The guy told me it was. So i was wondering for those of you who have done it, can tell me what they see on the paper.

Regards,

Regards,
Mine also says MISC-Engine Mechanical, but it seems like that is just the code for what they are doing. Later on the sheet is says "reprogram ECU".

i just hope they did it. the service person was giving me hard time. I also left one of my Key fob at home, and he did not program them for me with the new one. I had the bulletin from this site (TSB). The service guy was like "Is this really happening or you just want to get this done because you have this paper with you" I got so heated. I kept my cool and i kindly told me him it is really happening. I think it did happen though but i don't really use my cruise like that. I would have to go back again next week for my Key.

No go for late 07

Just got back from my dealer. They were aware of the TSB and attempted to update it for me since my VIN fell in the affected range. The computer they used read my ECM version and determined mine was not affected. It read the previous part number as "blank" instead of an actual # which indicates no upgrade avail. So any ideas for us 07/07 builds and later??

Yours might already have the updated Program.

could be true, but when I drive my buddy's 3week old '08, I feel the difference in throttle response. He notices how sensitive and non-linear mine feels.

3 Weeks old? I think your Buddy ECU still under the driving program. You need to wait a little longer. How much mileage do you have on your car. His car is also newer. I think you need to give it some more time.

for sure your car will drive differently. Just wait a week or two then drive your friends car. His car still new. After 1200 mile his car will drive a little different.

My car is has been at the dealership for 3 days now and they don't know what to do for a 6MT. They said there's no part available for 6MT and they've called corporate to find out what to do.

It's a legit question on his part. If you're just asking them to reflash your ECU "just because" it's a waste of time and resources on their part when they could be helping a customer who actually has a valid issue which requires attention. I don't blame you for getting a bit irked after he asked but I can understand where he/she is coming from.

As for leaving your key at home...why? They only give you new fobs (the key & clip portion is reused) anyway. Plus I'm pretty sure your old fob is pretty much useless once they give you your newly programmed keys.
