TPMS and Rotating Tires

I am planning to rotate the tires myself. The manual gives you instructions, but it doesn't mention of that would affect TPMS. Will it still know which tire is which? Does it even matter. Do I need to swap the valve stems, or reset the system to register new wheel position. If yes, then how can it be done?

since our system doesn't tell you which one is low, i doubt it would matter, but now that you bring it up, i'm wondering if my avalanche is effected. It tells you how much pressure is in each tire

Take it to an air pump, let a bunch of air out of one tire and you'll know soon enough.

I think ours does tell you but you need to check it somehow and it flashes a certain number of times for each tire. I remember reading about it in a thread here somewhere but don't remember how to check it. Anyone recall?

If you pull codes you can determine which tire is low.

If you rotate tires then take that into account since code would be slightly inaccurate.

You can rotate tires without triggering the TPMS warning light.

How do you rotate tires?

The tires are directional and both the Sport and Journey have staggered wheels, no?

I have the Sport and the service guy mentioned the tire rotation as a benefit of the premium service. I was scratching my head.

No. The Journey comes stock w/ 17x7.5 rims and 225-55-17s on all 4 corners.

If the service guy told you that you can rotate the tires on your sport model which I assume has the stock 18's, I suggest you never go back there again!
