The 2008 g35X BASE model gets heated seats and XM as STANDARD features.
With the above in mind,
is the Premium Package really worth the money on a 2008 g35X?
I know I don't want the CD changer in the trunk.
So, do we all agree that NOT ordering the NAV will prevent me from getting the CD changer in the trunk?

IMO absolutely worth it.
I've heard California in January is going to have a law that you can't talk on cell phones in cars without a wireless device, not sure about other states.
SOW is great.
Memory seats, power lumbar, homelink, rear windows, all the rest of the stuff that comes with it...they are just fun toys. In my mind they are the fun little things that a $35K car should have, and I would be dissapointed everyday if I didn't get the premium even though these things are not daily necessities.
That's just my two cents though...and for another two cents I would absolutely say get the nav. Just for touch screen if anything...

Good luck trading or selling your G in a couple of years without it. You will take a noticeable hit - as there is already a glut of used g's on the market - can you imagine in three years? Not only will you be trying to unload a car with worse power and fuel mileage then the current model, but one with less features then most 5 year old g's.
I learned this the hard way trying to unload a 2 door Honda Accord...OUCH!!!

good question
I have been asking myself the same question about PP on the RWD. Here is the list of PP features from the Infiniti web site along with my thought process...
Pros
Infiniti Studio on Wheels - very nice system and one of the primary reasons I am considering the PP
Infiniti Interface System for iPod - another nice feature, and one that I would use.
Bluetooth Hands-Free Phone System - I don't spend a lot of time on the phone in the car, but would be nice (and kind of a cool toy).
Heated outside mirrors - ocassionally useful in Houston
Automatic anti-glare rearview mirror with HomeLink and compass - not a big deal but nice to have
African Rosewood - not a part of PP but you must have PP to get it, and I really like the rosewood (although I am probably in the minority on this one).
Cons
Power sliding tinted glass moonroof - never use the one I have on my Maxima and there are a lot of complaints on this forum about the one on the G
2-way power driver’s seat lumbar support; Memory system for driver’s seat, steering wheel and outside mirrors; Driver's seat, steering wheel and outside mirror position synchronization; Power tilt and telescoping steering column synchronizes gauge cluster with column for improved vision - for the most part, I'll be the only driver, so I'll set these onece and forget about them. If my wife changes them ocassionally, it's not a big deal to change 'em back.
Heated front seats - don't need 'em in Houston
One-touch auto-up/down rear windows with safety auto-reverse feature - web site lists this as part of PP but I thought it was included on Journey?
As for the concerns about resale... I tend to keep my cars for a long time, so this is not a factor for me. I bought my Maxima in 95 and it is still going strong (making it harder for me to justify the new G!).
Obviously the features that are important to you will be different, but hope this helps.
