$27.9k for a '07 Sedan, your recommendation?

I was planning on getting an '04 Sedan, but that didn't work out.
One of the local Infiniti dealerships is selling a leased '07 with 17k miles for $27.9k. It's not a Journey or Sport, so the options are minimal. I don't really care about navigation or memory seats, but the sport rims would have been nice. Does this sound like a good deal? I live in the Bay Area, so the OTD price is $30.5k. They told me that they can't haggle on the price, but seemed open to $30k if I put something down on it.

It's an alright price. If you want sport 18" wheels, there are many people who sell them for cheap in the marketplace.

According to Edmunds invoice on a base '07 is ~$29.6K (including destination) so at $27.9K you're paying $1700 under invoice for a car that has 17,000 miles. Not a great deal IMHO. In July when I purchased the Bay Area dealers I spoke to were at $250 - $500 over invoice for a brand new G sedan. Good luck!

it's actually not a bad deal because i was 42,000 OTD when i bought my car. you're actually getting a pretty good deal. the 18" wheels aren't that expensive so you would be paying 31k for a great car.

Yeah, but you must have a well loaded G for it to have been 42k OTD. I do agree with others, 17k is a lot of miles for a year old car though. The base G35 isn't spartan, but it seems to be compared to Journey, w/ Sport and Premium and Nav, LOL! You know, I wouldn't be surprised if the '07+ G35 holds value better since it is so much nicer than the first versions! JMO!

yeah 42otd was a bit pricey and i don't have any options! just splash guards and cargo net...i was also 20 when i purchased the car under my name. interest was pretty high and down payment was low.

42k, that's a rip! Intrest and down payment have nothing to do with purchase price. Sounds like they too advantage of a 20 y/o.

Jayou, don't buy that no room to negotiate....You can get a brand new '07 leftover for nearly that price....I recently paid 1k under invoice. Take your time and shop around....also using the 3.9% finance, is a selling point for new instead of use. Might wash the difference.

42k is after tax and interest, so i guess my otd price was lower. plus i'm not hurting from it, i make good money for a 21 yr old

Keep in mind you only pay the interest while you make payments.

Still think 27,9 for an 07 w/17k is HIGH! Offer$25k and meet around $25.8k

I appreciate all the responses. Turns out it was a Journey, but without the Nav or Premium packages. Dealership wouldn't budge below $30k.

That dealer is nuts...

30k for a base '07 sedan with 17k miles??? I would advise them to seek mental help and walk out the door. You could negotiate a left-over with 0 miles for around that price.

In the NY area i'm looking at an '07 G35x with 18,000 miles for 27k. Taxes and registration will bump it to about 29k. This is the best deal I have come across.
