TPMS Sensor Reset?

Has anyone figured out how to reset the tire pressure monitor system for new sensors without having to go to the dealer on the 2007 G35?

I don't think you can. They have some sort of special tool you use that only a dealer would have.

Honestly though my dealer did it for $45 when I got my keyfob replaced, so its not one of those huge cost deals.

if you have the multi thousand dollar consult III scan tool(labtop with bluetooth connectivity to your vehicle) you can do it.

Again, sorry if i jacked your thread..

Sensors are not needed for new rims

You do not need to get new sensors, but there will be a yellow light on the tach that will not turn off. I use my stock sport rims for the winter tires and the TPMS works fine and the light is off. Summer rims do not have sensors, but the light is on all of the time. I wish there was a way to turn it off or I would buy new sensors, but not if it will cost me $45 x 2 every year.

I switched the tmps off my oem wheels and put them on my new wheels at discount tire. They work fine, no reset needed.

Are you anticipating a problem or are you experienceing a problem? I am sure the dealer would have charged me for a rest if I had them switch my wheels.

!!Oh,, I just noticed you said on a new set of tmps, I guess you sold your others?

Hey Guy's! Think the way to reset the TPMS is to drive above 16mph...and it will reset itself. No need to go to dealer for this small thing. Think I read it in the owners manual. Gotta double check, But I am pretty sure you just half to drive above 16mph, with the correct tire pressure, and the light will go off!

News sensors basically have to be paired to the car. The 16MPH reset mentioned above works when air is low in a tire and allows for light reset after proper inflation is administered.

It appears that the air pressure setting is about 28# for the low tire pressure light to come on. Manual says 26#. At least mine came on and tires were at 28# pressure. Refilled to 33# and drove the car above 16MPH and light went out. Service manual section WT explains the resetting procedure.

Tpms sensors

Hello guys. New member here. I just purchased a 2007 g35 6mt brilliant silver with 47000 miles. I got the car last week. And I've already bOught blacked out corners, cat back exhaust. Double din harness. I already have a pioneer dd and 2 12s with amps. I also have a vis car on fiber hood coming next week. I got vht to turn my rear lights into skyline lights. And my favorite mod yet. I have 20 in status rims. Black lip with machined face. My question is. After changing my tpms to my new rims everything was fine. After 3 days the light turned on. I checked my tires and I was around 30 pounds. I read on my tires that they could go to 45. I added a few more pounds to about 40 and nothing. Ive driven for a few days now with more air and still nothing. Any input would help

If the reset doesn't work then you may have a dead sensor battery. They last about 5 years. The battery is not replaceable.
You have a coupe right?
