Low tire pressure warning light - cold weather

Noticed in past searches that people have had a problem with this warning light staying on and needing to be reset at the dealer. Anyone having trouble with the cold weather causing this.

My light went off this morning in the extreme cold and has not turned itself off. Tires were fine, drove @ 40 miles at highway speeds this morning and the light did not reset itself.

no problems with mine. I only have the sensors on my winter wheels. It was kind of nice to see the warning light disappear shortly after I put the winters on.
It did take a few miles at highway speed for it to go out though.

Your cold tire pressures will drop about 1 psi for each 10 degrees F drop in ambient temperature (the reverse is also true). That means if the TPMS lights up when it's cold out, your tire pressures probably are actually low. Make sure you check them cold, after you drive for a mile or more the pressures can easily rise by 4-5 psi.

I'm waiting for my TPMS to light up since I park in a heated garage (10c) and venture daily into the cold (-15c this morning). Hasn't happened yet though - tires were last set to 33# in the fall.

Yes, last year while we were out the temp dropped into the low 30s (out to dinner, car parked in lot), and when I came out the TPMS light was on. Tire pressure was fine, and it wouldn't reset - dealer had to fix it.

Check you side driver door panel (not the actual door). It states that, at least for the S, Cold weather PSI should be 33 on all four wheels.
