Cool Pretty Close

Well my mom had her eye set on a 2007 G35S on ebay. It looks tight, it's ivory pearl with the stone interior which is the interior and colour she wants. It only has 3675 miles. It comes with a lot of options, it has the navigation package, premium package, and technology package. It also has the ClearBra package, painted mud guards, trunk net, and 15% tint on all 4 windows + the moonroof. It is a 5spd automatic with the paddle shifters. We are most likely taking it since he ended the auction by accident and we were the highest bidder. I can't say how much we paid for it but it is between $30,000 and $35,000. He's in Colorado and we're in Vancouver, Canada.. anybody know how much shipping is? Oh yeah here are some pics.. enjoy

sorry to tell u this.. but u did not get a deal...I am from canada, I bought new and I paid 36,600 for a 2008. I think a used car you are at most paying 6k less than me is not worth it. I would not suggest getting it if u can afford the few K more. ur paying for his taxes.. coz he paid taxes when he bought the car..you get what I mean? If you buy from seattle etc it would be much easier.. if u want some advice u can PM me. i just done this whole thing myself.

For the amount of miles I think 6K less IS a good deal, and he has the tech package which is another 1100 or so.

I just got a 07 with 22K miles with every possible option including 4wAS for 30K so I think 32K for one with that low of miles is about right.

Dude how much do you seriously think a car with this low of miles should depreciate? You are talking about 19% depreciation in a few short months for very little wear. I guess because a car is used you should get a minimum 10K off no matter what. Of course sticker on my car was 41K so I got 11K off....but mine has many more miles.

i guess I just dislike buying used. I prefer to compare what I can buy a current new model with same features for.. and compare that to the price you mentioned... if you do that the, diff is 5 or 6K not 10K.. which then makes the argument for a used.. very weak.

You didnt but a car with tech package and 4 wheel active steer so your arguement is completely invalid if directed towards me. You got an 08 for what you feel is a good price, congrats. You wont find a used one for super cheap. Look up how much 07s are going for, they are holding their value quite well. For that you should be grateful, why would you want your car to lose money? Tell you what, Ill pay you 25K for your 08. Since after all its used. Get my point? Youre living in some kind of fantasy land. You obviously know nothing about cars. Give it a few years, youll get it.

Kre calm down, Daniel has been super helpful to me. He gave me his email and I added him to msn. He then spent about an hour helping educating me on buying from the states. He got a good deal on his car and I feel we got a half decent deal but there are better deals out there...... why do all my threads have to start arguments?

i dunt know why ur getting all worked up like i said I just prefer new. if you feel the burn for buying used too bad. dunt take it out on me. I just feel if a person can afford new, 5k less is not enough incentive to buy used for ME. get over yourself I was posting for the benefit of others. AGAIN.. this is about how one shouldnt buy used if they can buy new, as the difference is minimal and not worth it in the first place, I am not saying that used should be cheaper. I am just laying out the facts in my opinion.

and this know nothing about cars comment and give it a few years etc I think is unneccessary. Obviously you think you have more years than me maybe you should be doing better than I am.....oops did i just say that... then maybe you can afford a nice spanking new car, PAID OUT IN CASH How bout that? You taking a loan on your USED car?

End of discussion with YOU.

I dont know why you think this is an insult to me. A fool and his money are soon parted. Thanks for spending the extra cash for nothing so smart people can save on the inital depreciation hit. The difference on my car was not minimal, and you couldnt have bought my car as loaded as it is for 36K no matter how much of a deal you think you can get. The invoice is over 39K so I saved roughly 10K, 11.5K off MSRP. This car was special ordered one of the first so full MSPR was paid. Saved 11K or 27%. Dosent seem too minimal to me. But like I said thanks for throwing your money away in the so called name of pride to prove something to people who dont care and dont know weather or not you paid more then the other guy. Now its the end of the discussion.

this is seriously wasting my time but I was sure there was one of you somewhere in every forum. you had like 2 more options... 1K for tech 1K or so for AWS..or whatever the numbers are. You are comparing apples and oranges you do not even have the X you have the sport or whatever it is you have. I think that YOU think I am talking specifically about your car.. which I am NOT....... the 5 to 6 K was refering to the car he was going to buy... I dunt know what your hang up is.. you seriously need to get a life.. and stop using your stupid car as a reference because I am deifnitely not talking about that. And comparing the car you bought to the car i am buying is just stupid because I was comparing.. AGAIN let me repeat... in theory....a NEW 07 or a NEW 08 with same/similar options with a used 07....*sigh*

AGAIN....its not whether I paid 36K or I paid whatever, its how much over invoice I paid. Considering I paid $150, I think thats a max someone should spend over invoice. You are quite... dense.. eh? I was trying to tell him that a new car isnt that much more than what his mother was about to pay for a used one...

And I like paying for new, if you cant too bad, I like the feeling of a new car and knowing I would be the first one fooling around the back seat. And that someone else didnt jerk off and not wipe his hands and drove How about that......Its just what I prefer, I couldnt care less what you like to do.. one pays for premium and privllege, simple as that. And since I am not selling it off soon, maybe relagated to 2nd car status in a year or 2 I wont be bothering with any depreciation.

so go move on with your life and stop thinking everything is directed at you, I was trying to make sure he knew his options and wasnt thinking the deal he was getting was a fantastic one, you get what you pay for, and if someone can afford it why not get new....if you cannot sure then go buy a used car there no big deal

If you want to be cheapy go be cheapy and do not diss people who are willing to spend for the privllege of being the 1st owner. I wouldnt buy anything used. Not even a home. Thats just me. People can use my hand me downs, sure I sell used stuff all the time, I just like things brand spanking new.
