Need opinion on wheels

Just got a Blue Slate G35 sedan, sport/manual. I need some all season tires and a second set of wheels since it's gonna snow any day here in VA. What do people think about ASA AR2s on the second gen G sedans? I can't really tell from looking at tirerack site. Anyone run those right now?

The AR2s have a good, classic BBS look. I like them.

However, if I were to choose a rim from ASA, I'd go with the ZR2:

IMO, it has a more contemporary look. The design of the lip also makes the rim look larger. The AR2 in a 19" size would look no bigger than the stock 18" sport rim. They would look tiny if you went with 18s or 17s.

I'll be getting 18s. 17s are too small and don't wanna be using 19s for the winter - sounds counter-intuitive. Those ZR2s are HOT. Where can I get those? I hope they don't cost or weigh much more than the AR2. Thanks for posting up the pics, AlterZgo.

You're welcome. They're on tirerack.com:

they come in black also and are available in 18, 19 and 20" sizes.

why not get atleast 19s and use the sport rims for your winter set up and the ZR2's for summer/spring set up?

+2 on the ZR2's

That's not a bad idea but it'll require more work and more money. Maybe I'll consider 19 ZR2s comes spring

Go with 19's. What l did was l used the stock rims and put 4 winter tires on it, and order another set of rims for the summer. Honestly go with 19's since i had a set of 18" summer tires, and really did not look too nice on the car, too small. Now l just order a set of rims from Chris at F1. very nice and honest guy. give him a shout.

I love how the ASA's look, especially the 19" ZR2s, but I think you're compromising quality for the price IMHO. I'm thinking about wheels as well and will probably go with 18" BBS RGRs.
It's a much stronger wheel since it's forged, and one of the lightest around, at just over 18 lbs. BBS wheels have been around forever and are known for their reliability and performance. Expensive though at over $600 a piece.
