Sunshade for baby
Sunshade for baby
What is the best looking sunshade to put in the rear windows for my baby to keep the sun out of his eyes? The neon orange and blue Diego sunshade that I have looks horrible in my new car.
The best window shade is a nice tint job.
I have two kids, one 2 year old and one infant. I can appreciate your need to shade the little ones.
How do you like the tight fit of an infant seat when it's rear facing? It's horrible. My 2 year olds forward facing seat fits fine but the infant seat is so tight when installed behind the drivers seat with the auto back seat function set to on, it literally will not fit.

I second the tint recommendation. Go with ceramic and, even with a lighter color tint, it will still have significant heat rejection. Plus, you can actually still see out the rear window and it actually improves your car's appearance.
a child seat safety expert (police officer) said in a class that it's best not to have sunshade, mirrors, etc, in the car, b/c in an accident, those things can get loose and potentially hit the occupants.

My baby seat is facing forward, so I don't have to deal with the infant car seat. When I have my second, and final, baby, I will have the infant seat put behind the passenger's seat. I would rather the passenger be uncomfortable than me!
I will ask about getting my back window's tinted. Can the back windows be as dark as you want and still be legal? Or, should all the windows be tinted and not just the back ones?

Check your local laws. In most state your back windows can be painted black as far as they care. Only the front sides and windshield they are concerned about. I have 35% llumar all around and am happy with it. My two year old has no issues, or sun burns.

Btw, tint is what I have done also.
