Will this look weird?

I'm trying to decide on a license plate frame on my up coming blk/blk and I can't decide on a regular plain black frame or a chrome one.

Pros to Chrome
Matches the rest of the cars chrome
I like the look on the back of the car but not so much the front

Con to Chrome
For the front it might take away attention from the grill(too much chrome clustered together)

Pro to Plain black (non shiny)
Makes front grill stand out more which ultimately will have a greater effect in keeping the original styling of the car in my opinion.

Con to Plain black
Very dull looking in the back - the back is plain as is, so this wouldn't take away from the rear but also doesn't add.

So the question I had was would putting a plain black in the front and chrome in the back look weird? I've never seen that done before. Thanks in advance.

I just ordered plates on eBay and got black.

Why don't you just use a Rear Plate only and that will essentially solve your problems...btw, Black FTW!

California requires a front plate too, but I haven't had one on any of my cars in the past 8 years without any problems..

Why bother w/ lic plate frames at all? I've usually mounted only the lic plate itself on the car. Leaving the lic plate frames off the car cuts at least .1 sec off 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.

Seriously though, if you had to have it on there, I'd go w/ black instead of chrome. There's no need to call more attention to the lic plate since it's not something that looks good anyway.
