G35 Journey Prices and Experiences in NC

Hello all,
I am in the market for a G35 Journey sedan with Nav and Premium and wanted to know what non VPP folks are paying. The best discount I have is with the Costco program.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Regards

Edit: Forgot to mention that I am in the Charlotte NC area but would be willing to drive for a good deal!

I talked over the phone with two dealerships in Charlotte and one in Wake Forest/Raleigh, NC. I told each dealership exactly what car I wanted... down to the exterior and interior color. They all quoted me a price on the exact same car (located in Virginia). The Wake Forest dealer came in the lowest. I did not tell each dealer what the other one offered.

What you could do is talk to many dealerships and get the best deal. Then, take that deal to your local dealership to see if they will meet it. That way, you get the best of both worlds.

I got a G35 journey, premium pkg, navigation pkg, splash guards, and dealer installed spoiler for $35,999. That is before taxes and fees. They brought my car in from Virginia in two days - no extra charge for that.

When talking to multiple dealerships, make sure they are quoting you a price for a car with the same options. At first, they would go out to their lot and just give me a 'car payment' amount on one for their cars.

BTW, the Wake Forest dealership would be three hours north of you.

Without the spoiler, my car was $35,500. So, that is what I paid for the car you want.... with the additional splash guards. Also, I got a 2008. I did not compromise on color combination... which was VERY important to me.

I think the Charlotte dealership quoted me $36,500 for this same car. The dealership in Lake Norman (near Charlotte, I guess??) quoted me $37,000 for this same car.

Do not fall for the dealership GAP insurance for $500. You car insurance company offers this for a fraction of that cost. Make them give you a car price, not a car payment amount. Good luck dealing!! Let me know who gives you the best deal.

I got a 2007 and made the deal when the car was first unveiled (Oct 26, 2006) at the Raleigh dealership. In the next few days, I contacted dealers in Charlotte, Virginia, DC, Charleston but no one could beat the deal that was offered by the Raleigh dealership. I know a couple of other folks who also got better deals at the Raleigh dealership. As Windy mentioned above, see what kind of deal you can get at other dealerships and take it to your local dealer and see if they can match it. If you need a contact at the Raleigh dealership, send me a PM and I can send you my sales person and sales manager's contact information. Good luck.

Thanks to all for the replys
I was quoted 36,000 for the G35 Journey with Premium, Nav and cargo net. Sounds like its close to what everyone else has been seeing in the area. I will see if I can get them to throw in the spolier and maybe some free service to sweeten the deal.
I'll let you know what I come away with....

just got an 08 with what you described from Raleigh. Price we paid is dead on what others have said here. We went to all the dealers in NC except charlotte and didn't compromise on the color combo we wanted. Had a good experience with our salesman here in Raleigh and got a fair deal.
