Wow, I'd forgotten...
just how much performance our Gs have. Driving back and forth to work on slow roads, it never gets a chance to run except for short bursts in a straight line.
Today it's beautiful in Houston, so I looked through Google Earth and found a winding road that's reasonably close by. Hit the road, wound it up, and screamed into the first 90 degree turn (six of them total in <1 mile) - am coming in at about 60, the recommended turn speed limit is 10 mph
). Wait until it's almost too late, hit the brakes hard...and the G slows so fast that I actually have to let back off the brakes to round the turn at about 30.
Hmmm...next turn decide to come in a bit hotter, so wait a half-second longer...and again we slow down with ease.
Okay, third turn...this time I wait so long that adrenaline starts spiking, and my heart rate is accelerating faster than the G. Jam on the brakes, and the G stops like it just dove into a vat of quicksand. And then, of course, rips through the corner with ease and lets me crush the gas in the exit.
The rest of the turns are almost anti-climactic; since I'm not willing to brake any later, and with 3/4 tank of gas the rear tires are glued even with VDC off, it becomes almost casual. Which isn't a bad problem to have
Note that I'm not recommending that anyone else a) test their G's handling in this way, b) turn VDC off, or c) do anything else that might bend their G around a tree. A little gravel or unexpected other drivers could ruin your day.

LOL... I was out this afternoon in mine... headed over to Honea Egypt Road, a reasonably windy stretch that I also enjoy while on my bike. 'course, I am still babying the car since I only have around 300 miles (since Tuesday night) Perfect day for a ride here in the Houston area.
i was in Houston this past weekend too, weather was great, but didn't get a chance to open it up much. Though a black g35 zoomed past me while the train tracks were blinking and i had already stopped (i didn't think he would make it under the bar). I think i was in the champion forrest area

And yea, even though my car is down around 40hp from your cars, i can still have fun in the bends to. With AWD it grips like a champ! Downshift into second and ease into it. VERY fun!
I have an X, VDC has to be off to have any fun, however it saves your brakes I ripp mine around at least once a week. I live in canada, the best is dry payment with a bit of sand on it. All the snow melted and the streets in my town are just cover in loose sand, it is just the perfect mix of fun driving with my X, on snow you can get into a lot of trouble, and have to be super fast with the steering wheel. On dry pavement the car just hooks up too well. But with loose sand on pavement, the car fish tails great and with tons of control. Even with the AWD I can make it do some wild things, I have to post some vids soon. I wish you could shut off the AWD on the X, just for the moments when you want to have fun.

And 1774 north of 1488 is also a nice stretch (except during the Renaissance Faire). There are a lot of nice roads through the Sam Houston Forest. And 3090 and 390 just north of Navasota and 105 are favorite roads for motorcycles.
