We are now so far into the 08 model year (08s have been available since mid September 2007), plus the fact that 08s can be purchased for around invoice price in certain areas like Southern California, if you choose the 07, the dealership better be giving you a ridiculously good deal.
+1 It's a buyer's market nowadays.

The '08 now has a HARD DRIVE navi and the processing speed is much faster than the '07. The '08 navi also has several other minor upgrades.

Also, not sure many of you caught this one. The '08 heated seat switches now have two light indicators (one for low, one for high) instead of just one on the '07.

Not sure of the exact differences, but there's not many. The '08 has ipod integration and you can now get the G35X with the sport package. The '08 is the better choice and I wish I would have waited 2 months for the ipod integration alone.

08 get one less map light and less voice commands. If you're like me and don't own an ipod it hardly makes a difference. The G offers so many ways to play music anyways.
If your looking for new, look to the 09. There should be more bigger changes coming up.

Too bad you retracted your question, I was going to say the difference is about $5000.

well this is the thing. I've found one locally that is an 08 journey with right at 2k miles on it. it has navi, premium, sport packages for right at 35K before ttl. good deal? because I thought about offering them 32K but I'm afraid that might be to low.

That's a good price, but they will most likely come down a little. It doesn't hurt to ask.

My 07G35S 6MT does have two heated seat settings, one low, one high. Perhaps the 07S5AT has the one heated seat setting.

RCK,

I was referring to the orange light indicators, not the settings. Both 07 and 08 have two heating settings (low and high), but the 07 only has one light indicator that indicates "on" whether it's low or high. the 08 has two lights, one dedicated to low and one to high.

Oh yes, I see. What's the advantage of the separate lights? If it's on, it's on. In any case, I guess the 08 is an improvement of some sort.

Differences between '07 and '08?

Ladies and Gents,

I'm wondering if anyone can give me the skinny on the difference between the 2007 and 2008 G35? I"m aware that the back-up cam was part of the Tech Package in the 07s and is now part of the Nav package for the '08s but anything else?

Thanks!
Jason
