$1360 Worth of Damage $@%!!!

AAAHHHGGHHHH!!! Some idiot ran into my G in a parking lot when I was inside, and OF COURSE didn't leave a note. Hit and fricking run. Now I've got $1360 or so worth of damage to my right rear quarter panel. I'm so upset I don't even know what to do/say. Insurance won't cover it because it happened in my new state of residence before I had a chance to change my insurance coverage (JUST moved to Georgia).

ARRGGHHH!! Pics later in the week!

Did you ask in the store if they have a security camera in the parking lot? I know that Wal-Mart does. If the store has a security camera, they could get the tag number and find the person.

What is the point of insurance if they won't pay??

Man this happened in a place where security cameras are a thing of the future. It's all good - not my fault and stuff happens...I try not to be all upset about this kind of stuff.

Should've chased him!

I know I would've. There aren't a lot of cars that can easily outrun our cars...

Edit- Oh I just realized you said you were inside the store. I thought you meant you were inside your car.

I hope everything works out for ya!

Mildly amusing, but stupid...and no, that's not how God does it.

Hopefully you were kidding...

To the OP - sorry bro, that sucks. But you have the right attitude, and six months from now it'll be just a quick grimace every once in a while, when you happen to think about it. While you're driving your beautiful car

You have a really good attitude about it. I hope more people were like this, including myself. Putting things in perspective, it could have been a lot worse..but yeah your whole attitude is impressive and I'm gonna try to think that way more often.

Your insurance should be good for the 30 days if you leave your state. Isn't it?

Sorry about tht hit and run man.

But how can insurance not be good out of state? People don't drive across state lines?

Not too bad. Someone hit-and-run my friend's Corolla. A bumper, warped side panel and light cost $1700!! :O I couldn't believe how much it was, but insurance took care of it.

Damn sorry to hear that man. especially since insurance won't cover it. That must be the worst part of it all. Knowing you have to cover the entire price tag yourself.

Well turns out it all worked out for the better - my uninsured motorist coverage kicks in when someone without insurance or a hit-and-run damages my vehicle (technically uninsured motorist). I get it fixed for FREE!

Always a silver lining
