got mine today....boy they sure are tiny for a 3.5L engine. My old Passat was a 2.6L and the filter was at least twice as big.

I believe bigger filter is better. OEM and fram-tg filter are smaller than purlator-one and Bosch brand. Some people say bigger filter takes longer to fill up during start up, however.
