When I first got my car, I thought the exhaust note was weak and sounded nothing like the that of the old coupe or fx. However after 8,000 miles, I retract that statement. It seems as the car gets broken in more, the tone of the exhaust has gotten louder. Has anyone else noticed this?

 

im barely hitn 6k lol have had my car since nov 06... weekend car..

 

I like the cold start exhaust noise. I am not sure if I remember how the exhaust was at 5-6 k.

I had a Stillen on my '04 coupe; I thought it gave just the right note-- not too overbearing but a deeper that the stock.
I didn't even wait to break my '08 sedan in-- right to the shop with a Stillen exhaust. I thought Nissan toned the exhaust down too much with the sedan. After listening to a 37 just at idle (which sounded great), I knew I had to change the exhaust.

 

Definately a good thing. It sounds louder and better.

Yes, most of the noise I hear is the exhaust now, after the 30k mile service.

I loooooooove it.

 

I noticed a big difference at 8k miles. That's when I put the STILLEN exhuast on.

 

the piping on my 07 is different than the piping on my 05 sedan. I notice it when I was putting the magnaflow muffler onto the 07. the 07 midpipe seems alot thinner than the midpipe on my 05. but with the mangnaflow muffler on now...my 07 sound great.

 

Yes, have noticed exactly the same thing. Now at 15k miles.
