I got the Impul lip installed yesterday by turbocad6... it only fits the Sport, which is why I had to buy a Sport bumper.

We're still working out a couple of fitment issues but I think it's hot...

Car is dirty, but the high has been 20° for the last 2 days so there's no washing it...

As far as I know, that's the first in the country.

Yeah I wasn't sure that it was gonna look good from the pics on the Impul site, but so far I think I'm happy with it...

But you're right... you can get away with a lot of stuff on a black car that wouldn't work on other colors.

In a few days, when it stops snowing and the temps go above freezing so I can get the car picture-ready...

but here's the only ones that should see the light of day until the car is washed...

Not cheap at all.

I got the lip from bulletproof and that was $500.

But it didnt end there because I have the X, so I had to get the Sport bumper. Then I had to get everything painted and installed.

No, it wasn't cheap :-)

well, speaking of that... My X is in the shop having a cracked front bumper replaced. I asked them to replace it with a sport model bumper. They said it doesn't fit but after I insisted, they are ordering it and told me I'm responsible for labor time trying to fit it if they fail.
Was any custom work needed to get the sport bumper on?

No custom work at all. It fits perfectly as a direct swap for the non-sport.

The only worries is that it's a huge pain in the ***. There are a ton of bolts and screws but otherwise there are no ftment issues or anything of the sort.

The biggest deal is ICC though. Remember there are two kinds of bumper per style, with and without ICC so you gotta make sure they order the correct one. You also have to reuse the grille and a rubber gasket thing that goes on top at the seam in the engine bay. They have to either get a new one or remove the old one from your bumper and use double sided tape to secure it to the new bumper.

Other than that, there are no worries.

Thanks bro. That's actually around the price I suspected it would be. It comes painted, correct? I might be biting the bullet and picking a front lip up this spring/summer.

Unpainted it was $500 from bulletproof. You can roll the dice with japanparts, since they seem to have it cheaper, but I've never ordered from them so I don't know how that would work out.
