I was very happy with Apple Glass on a replacement for my Maxima late last year.

I always thought that an "OEM windshield" was as real as "OEM paint", meaning the manufacturer of the glass will change from factory to factory?

I appreciate all the comments. I'm weighing the pros/cons of replacing the glass versus getting the chip fixed. Will get the chip fixed while I think about it. I would hate for the installer to mess something else up while replacing the windshield.

Except for the fact that ALL G35/G37/skyline GTs are built in the same factory

This is the first time I've ever heard not to get OEM glass. Generally speaking, I've always been recommended to go with OEM glass for fit reasons.

In Minnesota, glass is covered $0 deductible (separate from comp deductible) so I've never cared about cost. Are you recommending to stay away from OEM for cost reasons alone or quality reasons too?
