Phone book question on 08 with Nav
Do we loose the phone book if we change the phone paired with the Bluetooth? I changed my phone few times now and had to load all the contacts again for the new phone.
Is this the way it’s supposed to be?
Thanks.

Pretty sure this is the way it is supposed to be.
Ie, the phonebook is stored (in the car's memory) but associated with the paired phone.
Like you, I changed phones and noted my phonebook disappeared. So I moved my SIM back to my old phone and low-and-behold, my phonebook reappeared. Back to the new phone, phonebook gone. I redownloaded it and haven't gone back to the old phone to see what happened, but my guess is that the phone book is still there until I delete the paired phone from the list.

It pairs with the phone. When you program numbers in the phone book, it is for the telephone that is recognized at that time. When my phone is on, my phone book comes up. When my wifes' phone is on, her phone book comes up. If both phones are on at the same time, it will default to the #1 telephone and it's phone book.
