I have the 07 X with navi/Prem, no tech, and i have seen the sunny side of 140 in it [closed roads of course ]. My question is this:
I know that the faster you go, the less accurate the speedo on the dash is. Has anyone tested speed with maybe a GPS unit, and verified that the X will go over the 130 mark. It may be as simple as some of our speedo's being off above a certain number.

Off topic (sorry to add to the thread-jacking) : Does anyone know of a good track to get some road course driving in on around northern new jersey? Or even of a traveling one that secures use of large private parking lots (like a sports stadium i know i have seen them in) and where to find schedules?

Thanks

I wonder if the speed limits are not related to the tires that the car comes with? In the case of the G35S, it comes with summer tires that are probably higher rated than the all seasons that come with the X....

Tamir

I can assure you, each car will be limited to the speed rating on the tires shipped on the car model.

Hmm... I have a garmin instead of the nav package (is that because i'm cheap?) and indeed the car's speedometer was right on the money at 130mph. I was too scared to push it any further because of the tire ratings.
