CF Card Does not work!

Hi. I just got around to buying a CF card for my 07 G35 and it does not work.

I put the new card into my computer and formatted it as FAT32, then moved some MP3 (about 400megs) onto the card. Whenever I put it into my car's CF card reader though it takes about 5 mintues to scan the card and then says "No Audio Files".

Does anyone know what's wrong? This is really annoying!

I think they have to be wav files. I dont think it will read mp3 files from this slot.

try with another card first -5 minutes to scan is waaay too long - could be a defective card.

Try to format in regular FAT16. Then try again. This might work.

I don't remember having to format anything. Just hooked up the CF card to the computer, created several music folders, then dragged mp3's into said files. Done.

Fat32 should work just fine. I'm using some ultra-cheapies I got from Newegg, 2gb each, full and they work flawlessly. There's isn't much of a delay. Maybe 3 seconds.

Also keep in mind that like the music box, files on the CF card are played in the order they're copied to the card. A terribly annoying bit of trivia, but one that exists nonetheless.

Hey everyone. Thanks for the feedback. I grabbed the 512 out of my camera today and it doesn't work either! I even tried with different music mp3 files.

Maybe I'll just take it into the dealer since it seems like everyone else is not having any problems with it!
