Let's try to remember that in Japan, the G35/G37 is sold at Nissan dealerships as a Skyline 350/370GT, right next to the Japanese version of the Maxima. From their perspective, it makes sense for the cars to look somewhat alike, inside & out, since they are part of the same product offering.

Unfortunately for us, we like to think that Infiniti is special vs. Nissan and some can forget the reality and get upset when we see a maxima or murano interior resemble our Gs...

yes yes yes I agree with the "too many colors" statement.. I wouldnt get wood that's for sure.

I'm only talking about that center glossy black piece, i think it looks great.

parkst8: I'll look into that guy from the SRT8 forum... what's the site of the forum bro?

I maintain there's too much aluminum in my car. though remember i have the 'stone' interior which is grey to begin with so i have a double dose of greyness.

EDIT: i personally think the M interiors (and hence the 06 FXs) are 100x better than both ours and the new FX interiors..

Yup, add another to the reviews.

The integration is what kills that dash. If it were just gloss black and leather or just wood and leather or just grey and black, etc. it'd be nice. As is, it's a collision of styles, colors and textures that takes what should be elegence into the neighorhood of clown makeup.

I know that carbon fiber is somewhat passe now, but I must admit I would like to replace the panels on the doors (where the window switches are) in my stone interior. I'm thinking that just a touch of CF with the aluminium and the stone would look really good. I think the doors are the only cheesy looking part of our interiors. Overlays would only be OK if they were exceptional. Please can someone post who does the refinishing as described above?

I only read the first few posts...but...

Although the glossy black looks nice, think of the future, that thing will be so scratched up and looking like all hell after a year. I'll stick with the aluminum. To me it mixes well with my graphite interior.

I completely agree. I like the interior itself, but the color combos in that pic above don't do anything for me. The color of the wood console along with the black and brown dash are horrible IMO. The three different colors just don't go well at all.

I saw the new FX at the NY auto show last week. You guys keep talking about the interior (which is just werid imo). Nobody said anything about the new grll??? Man what a mess. I have never been so changed in my thoughts on a vehicle as this one. The last FX was 10,000 times nicer. The new front end just looks plain dumb. I don't see how they are going to sell that thing. It's such a shame given the nice design they have been producing.

I completely agree bro.. I loved the old FX and wanted to like this one alot too but...wow the front end looks bad. From the random wave-like grill to the WAYYY too drawn back eyes..

I'm hoping it's something you get used to with time but as it stands..
