This is what is preventing me from pulling the trigger on an 08.

Wonder why everyone is holding out for an '09. You guys do realize that the G37 sedan in Europe has the exact same power figures than our G35 hence won't be any faster.

Infiniti isn't going to want a G35 sedan to be faster than the G37.

People are waiting to see if the 7AT is included and the fuel economy improves from those horrendous current ratings.

I'm holding out for multiple reasons (if they implement items from the Euro spec)..

1. G37 wheels
2. Scratch Shield paint
3. Larger Brakes
4. If an aftermarket performance manufacturer decides to make parts, they will naturally go for the engine is going to be the new standard (which it will be) for the G35 and the G37. You don't sink your R&D costs on an outdated model that was ran for a limited time..
5. Adaptive front headlights
6. Any problems that might have sprung up with the 2008 model of the G35/G37 will (hopefully) be fixed.
7. Little cosmetic fixes on interior
8. V-VEL..

If it's the same motor (detuned) as the G37 coupe I'm thinking an ECU flash or intake+exhaust will take care of that pretty quickly. How can all that not be worth the wait?

Theres no adaptive lighting in the 08 models? I thought it might've gotten integrated with premium or something.

There is adaptive lighting on the 08's, but its only with the Tech Package. In Europe, the Adaptive Lighting comes standard.

I love my 07.

Instead of waiting for the 09, why not just wait for a new generation change in 2011-2012? It goes on and on and on.

In the same boat. Don't understand why Infiniti doesn't offer graphite with white. Wife is pretty set on that combo and I don't think she wants to settle on "stone".

Eric.

The OP's lease ends in July. We're not talking about waiting for more than a few months, at most. In my opinion it'd be pretty myopic not to determine when the next MY will go on sale if you're in the market in the summer (assuming that you have an interest in new features and upgrades/improvements, which most buyers do).
