Bro hate to bust your chops, but when you buy a used car, you don't know what you are getting. Just because its not a loaner/demo car, doesn't mean it wasn't beat on. I know plenty of ppl who lease cars and drive them into the ground because they now they are not going to keep them! Anyway get a carfax if it makes you feel better and good luck with the purchase of your car.

I know when the '07's came out, I had a brand new loaner with under 100 miles on it, and still had the sticker, and the sticker identified it as a Service Loaner, so I'm guessing the VIN would indicate that as well.

when I was looking at my G, I noticed several Ms listed on AutoTrader for super reasonable prices. I went to the lot and looked at them and they were all either loaners or rentals that had been purchased at auction. One way to tell is if it is a super base model. These cars did not have any of the optional packages on them, which is rare for a premium car.

be careful guys. Don't get suckered into loaners.. The salesman at my local dealer told me that people beat the living crap out of the loaners. Its just going to be problems in the future.

I was almost suckered into buying a rental G.. I asked the salesman if it was ever a rental and he said "no, it was my demo car". I just smiled and said thank you for your time.

Try not to buy anything that was a loaner, demo, rental, and sometimes a lease.

Rentals are usually okay. Rental G's are rather expensive, and cater to a specific type of client.

A good way to check is to see the average MPG on the rentals; more than likely they've never been reset, and most rentals we sell actually have an average MPG of around 22-23. Thus, you can tell that they haven't been beat on.

Also, loaners and rentals are the ONLY cars where you have a guarentee that the car has always been serviced above and beyond the regular service requirements; they're kept in tip top shape for liability reasons. (Imagine what would happen if youre a business exec and your rental infiniti died on you... bad news for the rental company... especially if they have a long term business contract.)

+1 for rentals; we only take in rentals that meet our standard for ANY used vehicle.
