g35 sport wheels on x
I am looking into purchasing some of these wheels but have some questions.
I know I have to run the same size all around. Would it be better to run 4 of the backs or 4 of the fronts all around?
The '08 x sport package utilizes the fronts for all four so I figured that would be the best bet. The backs are wider so that might look nicer.
any suggestions?
If anyone has the x sport wheels for sale that would be the best but all I see for sale are the staggered sport wheels.

Almost new awd sport(G35XS) wheels here...
Hmm... funny, I have been thinking of replacing my awd sport wheels for something aftermarket.... I bought the car last wednesday(1 week b4)... are you looking only for brand new ones or used ones? Let me know if you looking for used... mine is "almost new"... im in NJ, where do you live by the way?

Me personally would like to have the wider tire. I think the Gs5xS wheels are a little too narrow for my tastes.
However, I believe your best bet would be to pick up a set of wheels off someone's G35xS. You would need to get two sets of rear wheels from 2 different G35 sports to make the wider tires work. I believe the rear rims on the sports are wider, not just the tire. I don't think the wider tire on the rear of the sport will fit on rims used on the front or on the X sport.

If it was a choice between 7.5" and 8.5" .
Then I think the wider 8.5" wheels all around iis the way to go. I'm running 8.5 x 18 aftermarket rims all around on my X and like it.

g37 non-sport 18" are not my cup of tea.
I agree for me the choice is 8.5" all around. I just figured that since Infiniti went 7.5" all around on the XS then maybe there was a reason. That is why I made this post. I am not a wheel expert, but now maybe I can get four rear sport wheels.
Thanks for the input.

The reason for 7.5" versus 8.5" is that in all weather (read snow & ice) the higher profile tires will grip better. For summer use the lower profile tires will grip better. Unless you have tires that channel away water very quickly, low profile tires will tend to cause that sudden pull when on tire goes into deep water while the other tire is relatively dry. So, it really depends on your needs and where you drive. Here in So. Cal where I live summer tires are just fine 95% of the time. We don't get that much rain and unless I go into the mountains (in which case I need chains + snow tires in the winter), I really don't need all=weather tires. However, I went with 7.5" rims all around in case I take a job in a cold weather climate.
