Question New wheels on 08 g35xS

Hello guys! I'm rather new to these forums; however, I did all possible home-work before asking you this question. I have 2008 g35xS and I really want/wish to put some staggered wheels on it. I know that different tire width will cause differential issues in a long run. Is it possible to run same tire sizes all-around, but have a more aggressive offset in the rear? For example stock wheels on xS are 225/50/18 with 45mm offset, I want to buy 20x8.5 wheels with 45 mm offset for front and 20x8.5 with 34 mm for the rear with all four 245/35/20 tires. Do you think it will work? Is it possible to encounter some issues in a long run? I would greatly appreciate any input!

P.S. Wheels I'm looking at are concept neeper moxy

Why not just go 20x8.5 +34 at all 4 corners? This will make the rims/tires sit more flush all around and you won't have any rubbing issues.

That's a great idea too. For some reason I haven't thought of it. Thanks! By the way, is the 34 offset ok for X model?

+1, should look great and you will be able to rotate them.

By the way guys, I really do not want to risk the functionality of my awd, but is there anything else I can do to make the rear lip larger (maybe a different offset?) I'm really upset over the fact that I can not run the staggered wheels even though the OD are practically the same with only 2.2% difference.

I did some extensive research, as well as went through numerous forums like lexus, MB, BMW, people easily put staggered without any problems as long as circumference and OD are very close. The best match for g35x is 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 with the same OD of 84.0. I want to know if 285 will fir in the back? Probably not ((

I wholeheartedly agree that it is no problem at all to run staggered on AWD as long as you keep the same rolling diameters. Vast majority of people on these forums will disagree but, like you, I've never heard of anyone running into issues with this type of set up as long as the tire diameters are the same at all 4 corners.

Also, 285s will fit easily. Search terrycs. He's running 285s on 20x10" rims.

Also check out the database terrycs made. He has a very extensive list of various rims/tire sizes people are running:

Another alternative you can do is to just go more aggressive w/ your rim size but stick with the same at all 4 corners. If you go 20x9 +30, you should have a large lip and you will still be able to run that size at all 4 corners.

Check out the 19x9 +29 rims hans127 is running up front. These would fit pretty flush in the back as well:

Those neeper moxy are 1 piece cast wheels, much like any other 1 piece cast wheel, the lip size won't change based on offset, just width. With multi piece wheels, you can choose different offsets and disk types to achieve that staggered look.
