Yeah, I'm going to do staggered. I do want a dark color thought, like black to go with the red.

As for why get new wheels, I just don't like riding in the ones I have now. I think they look bad and are small .

I don't really want to go up 19s since I think they might be too big and leave less tire between me and road. I wanted a wheel that would be good in the summer and winter. I'll be pairing it with a High performance All weather tire.

I would switch the new rims in the winter and put the old ones back on. I'm looking for rims also. The TSW vortex caught my eye. I have the OEM 18's on my G35X. Debating between 19-20's.

Thing is, I'm going away to Med school next year and I don't feel like hauling my other rims and tires with me so I just wanted to go with a nice sized rim and a good all season tire to get me through summers and winters.

If winters are bad by you. I'd stay away from anything with chrome. If i'm not mistaken, the road salt will eat away at the chrome. But, I may be wrong.

buying a g35 today
I am purchasing a used 2006 G35 today see pic below.

Am thinking of having the dealer put these rims on. Mind you I am leasing the car and do not want to spend sick money on rims, but need 19"s. Platinum Gripp or the TSW spokes 19's. Without modding the vehicle how wide can I go?

Thoughts?

The all black, wheels, look alright but i don't know, might be just me, but if your going for all black why don't you just powder coat your stock set... It will save you some cash and give you the same effect... Maybe if you darken your headlights, with a light tint, it would probably look 100% better with the all black rims...

Link think you can shop his heads a shade or 2 darker..? Might help him out a bit...

Since its a lease I wont be doing any headlight tinting and I don't really want to powdercoat the stock wheels since I don't like their design. That's why I'm looking for new ones .

Would it be possible to get a Pshop of the Koniq Stamped/heatsink wheels? That would be great. It's hard to pick the ones I like best, seems there are a few that looks really nice.

IMO, Stampede's take the cake for sure. I'd throw these bad boys on at 19" with a BBK!! Be sure to check rim clearance for fitting BBK prior to purchase...

Quote: Hey guys, its getting warm outside and I think its time to swap out the stock 17" wheels for some 18" ones.

I'm having a hard time picking out some wheels to get and had some questions.

What is the offset on our cars and what happens if you get a different offset? Discount tires has the offset at 40mm, will 43mm work? What about smaller offsets?

I'm choosing between these rims:

1# choice:
Boss Motorsport 318

Offset: 42mm

2#
Konig Stampede

3#
Konig Hotswap

4#
Borbet Type XL

5#
Rial Porto

On this car:

Let me know which wheels you like the best!

I'm a little partial to the Boss ones myself, though.
