Just a quick question for all of you who actually calculate your mpg manually, how does this figure compare to the car's onboard computer estimate of your mpg? I've never manually calculated my mpg on this car and was just curious to see how good/bad a job the car does.

mine is pretty close, within a mile to a mile and a half. Other car is an Acura TSX and it is about 1.5-2 miles off and the bimmer I had was about the same.

I'm curious....

What is your method for manually calculating your mileage?

miles driven on the tank started at top/gallons needed to fill to top
