HELP!!! Opinion on Splash Guards

I just put a deposit down on a Platinum Graphite G35S 5AT, but I can't decide whether or not I should get the splash guards. I think I can get them for a bit cheaper if I ask the dealer to throw them in now, rather than later.

SO my question - anybody with the splash guards, would you say they were a worthwhile purchase and actually do protect the sides of the car? And do you think they take away from the car's styling?

Thanks for any input!!

yes they do, they catch so much crap off the road. of course you have to clean them too but better than getting all over your paint. Plus they add to the look of the car in a positive way.

Get 'em!

Agree on all above. they are very good at what they are meant for, and IMHO, they definately add to the lines of the car.

A definate in my book

they are nice, worth it to me, and they're not too expensive, i think peeps from riverside infiniti that posts here can get you a good deal if you do decide to do it later, it slaps right on, and couple of screws, no need to drill anything iirc

I installed mine myself and it was very straightforward. You do have to drill holes, but you are given a template that tells you exactly where to drill the holes. I posted a very brief description and a couple of pics last year.

Yeah, I also installed my own.
Very easy to do.
The worst part was drilling the one hole underneath.
My drill is humungous and with the length of the bit, I had to jack each corner up to get underneath.
Other than that... super easy. They look great, IMO, and they function well also.

wow thats one heck of a detail job.
do you make housecalls? ha kidding of course

I'm definitely going to just straight up ask them to put them on free, but I figure I'll get them for a few bucks off or just installed for free.

Sure, where do you live?

I got mine thrown in for free, but I live 4 hours away from my dealership. I figured they were pretty easy to install so I just did them myself. More than likely they'll thrown them in for free for you.

I'm not so sure....they were ***holes about the pricing to begin with, but they have the only car that matches my specifications in the nation at the moment so I am at their will! By the way, the prices on G35s went up 400 on the most recent shipment of cars - I found that out today so decided to put money down on a car that was already there.

I figure free installation will be a huge success on my part!
