Also, the 2.9% financing is part of a three month program and is good through the end of June: http://www.edmunds.com/new/2008/infi...19426&state=PA

I confirmed this with a sales rep I saw last weekend. I'm shopping for the exact same car as you, color and everything. I'm not buying until May or June, so I hope you don't get the last one

I agree, go for exactly what you want. I just put a deposit down on the only car in the country to meet my specs, but I had to give a little on the price because they were getting calls from other dealerships for the car. One dealer tried to move me away from a sport, but I held my ground and told him he won't be able to push me to a non-sport on his lot.

However, on sport vs. non-sport - it is possible to get the upgraded wheel package and dealer installed paddle-shifters. However, if you're looking for the other stuff in the package - seats, brakes, front fascia, etc.... don't settle unless you get the sport!!

ALSO, this is important. I was at the dealer yesterday here in Houston and he showed me this - the new cars coming off the truck are stickering $400 higher, so there has been an increase in new car pricing. So if you can, try to find a car in dealer stock now because there will be more price haggling to do if you choose a car coming in later on.

If you want the sport then that's what you should get. Don't let them trick you into clearing out there stock inventory. Get the car YOU want!
BTW, that car is over $50000 new in Canada so getting it for $39250 wouldn't bother me in the least.

I would probably trust the Infiniti website a little more with respect to the financing offer.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes with Harte.

I agree with everyone- get exactly what you want. If you're spending this much money, no sense in settling.

That's why we went with an auto broker, who found the EXACT car we were looking for, brought it in and even beat our local dealer's pricing and financing. Might be worth a shot.

Get The Sports!

I ended up getting a non-sport journey instead of the sports model.. and I regret it everyday.. IMO the sports model just looks much better compared to the journey or the base.. the front bumper make a whole great difference.. the bumper on the journey and the base looks really tacky compared to the sports bumper..

as far as the sports wheels, I got some aftermarket 19s on my ride so doesnt make a difference.. but whenever i see a sports model roll by w/ their sexy bumper i get so jealous..

and bigger brakes i don't really care for.. would be nice.. but my brake are good enough so no complaints there..

but i do wish i had limited slip differential..

BTW.. anyone interested in doing a swap w/ my non sport bumper for their sports bumper? or anyone got their sports bumper for sale? *keeps fingers crossed*

I don't want to debate over the appearance of our money. I am being supportive in reassuring you, like everyone else here, that you should get the car you like. I am also amazed that a new one can be had for $39K.
Sometimes I just wonder how many new G owners there would be on this forum if they where $50k plus tax everywhere.

Nope, I think you've got it confused with our one and two dollar coins.

What he said. The immediacy that these dealers try to hit people with is insane. They're cars man! They're not going anywhere and there will always be another. Get what you want on your terms. It's your money you're spending.
