Tinting at the dealer?

Is this a good idea or should I go to an outside shop? Pros and cons? Thanks.

Don't do it, they bring it out to a shop and have them do it, haha same sh*t. Not only that, some cheap dealers would call in portable guys that will just do it right out of the trunk of their cars. How do I know? Haha I use to work at a stereo shop, did tints, stereos, rims etc. Car dealer goes to us to install stereo systems and tints etc for their customers, when their customers could've just came to us in the first place, they would of saved so much money, but instead they wanted to "trust" the dealer because of warranty and have them do it, pay thousands of more dollars, and we still end up doing it HAHA so to answer your question with my knowledge and experience....NO

+1 Go to a good tint shop, choose your tint, and have them do it. The dealer is interested in putting in the cheapest stuff possible - meaning cheapest tint, and cheapest installer...

Depends on where the dealership contracts out to...I'm pretty sure a dealership will get better pricing than a someone driving up and asking for a price. And the dealership is in it to make more $$$....so if the tint job cost them $100....bet on them charging you $300....or more.

The place I went to usually deals with dealerships(Automall) so I had to book around the dealerships....this place used good quality stuff...but it was clear, they wanted to take care of the dealerships 1st. They did a great job on my G, and I'd recommend them to anyone.....
