If they bring out the 7-speed auto, I might trade in my '07 for an '09. All depends on the gas mileage.

 

Personally, I don't think that the 3.7L engine is going into the 09 G sedan, especially since the 09 FX is officially getting the 3.5L engine. Fuel economy concerns are getting to be a major factor.

There are several worthwhile features that the 09 is very likely to get, only because they have been confirmed on the 09 Euro-spec G37 sedan ( www.infiniti.eu./ ) :

Scratch shield paint (why would Infiniti alter the paint production line for US vs. Euro spec models?)

7-sp JATCH auto transmission. This is going to the default auto tranny for Infiniti across the board, no question about it.

19" OEM optional wheels (because the US market demands it and Europe is already getting it).

If the 3.7L engine is coming, then I believe that Infiniti will make the Sport package more meaningful. That would mean we would get the Akebono big brakes from the G37 Coupe. That would really **** me off if just bought a 2008 G35

I would buy the 09 for the Akebono brakes ALONE! Just look how great they look next to the previous generation Brembo brakes.

 

It turns out that the MSRP was a lot lower than I thought. It was 40,475 instead of 41,115! Is that correct? The MSRP went up almost $700 last month?

 

The deilvery fee went up $400 I believe.
