Slight Steering shimmy???

Our 2008 G35 Journey Model with the Sport 18" rims on it has only 2,200 miles on the odometer. The car went in for service due to me feeling a slight shimmy or vibration around 75 Mph. This shimmy is no where to the point that its bad bad but you can feel sometype of shimmy. The dealership drove the car and balanced the wheels and everything checked out OK, No Bent rims, all tires balanced perfect.

My question to everyone is does this seem normal cause these new Infiniti's are setup to drive more like a BMW type of car with more steering feel?

Does anyone else have the same experience?

Actually the steering feel is pretty average IMHO in the G, not anywhere near 3 series level.

Just sounds like poorly balanced tires on delivery, nothing more.

Mine does this for the first few minutes in the morning when it is cold. Once the car has gone about 5 miles it goes away.

I had the same problem with my new G35S, after few attempts to balance the tires,It was determined that the front tires have a flat spot from sitting on the lot for 3 months. The dealer replaced the front tires - no more vibrations.

As for BMW steering feel, my E36 M3 was much better than the G35 but newer BMW's lost their tread-mark steering feel and the difference between 335i and G35S is a matter of preference.

I took my new 2008 G35s back the very next day due to a shake or shinny at freeway speeds. Found that both front tires had lost a balance weight (or some other lame excuse). They rebalanced them and the care was PERFECT.

Unfortunately, a common issue that lots of drivers just can't seem to identify. Go with a rebalance first before pulling the car apart.

17,000 miles and my wheel did the shimmy when braking.
The dealer turned the rotors under warranty... no cost.
They said that if they run out again, they'll replace them.

For a shimmy when driving without the brake.... I got nothing, just smooth sailing.

my g35S with 600 miles does the same thing above 70mpr, it's starting to bother me now and the steering seems to wonder a bit and the car would pull to the left on the highway, sucks for a brand new car
