Tires for Life - $2000

Upon purchasing my '08 G35X I was presented with Tires for Life deal. Basically $2000 for replacement of all or any tires for the life of teh car. SInce i plan to own it till the wheels fall off, I thought it was a pretty good deal.

ANything happens to the tires, they replace them with the same OEM Goodyear Eagle RS-A 255/55 R17. Free balance and rotation. etc.

Considering a co-worker just paid $1,100 for 4 new Goodyear RSA's at 30K, it doesn't seem like that bad a deal. If I replace the tires twice or more, then the package pays for itself.

Right?

Anyone else fall for/decide on a "tires for life" package?

That's pretty awesome, shame you have to keep your stock wheels. In any case, you HAVE to slam your car. You don't even have to worry about tire wear, just get them replace every 5000 miles.

I have this on my dad's audi... and he has 19's.. cost us 3000 on his car... and we are on the third set of tires at 35 K...

They basically assume that people will not use the warranty...

However the OEM tires are not that great... and from what i understand that size can be had for 500 dollars...

So if you get 30K on a set, then it will take 120K miles to pay off...

Try to get the sport wheels... and then this will be a killer deal...

GL

and if you get it, drive the SHHH!!!!TT out of the car

BTW my dad's program includes tire rotations, and alignments, and damage to the wheels.

I would guess that modifying the suspension in any way would void the contract...

I dunno, having to bring your car in and balancing your tires every 7500 miles would be annoying to me.

Plus, there's always fine print. Like they'll nail you if your tires run out after 12k miles or something. Or, if you miss a balance/rotation.
