Car sputters when starting

This morning was the second time this happened in consecutive days. Mind you, I live in the southwest (El Paso, TX) and while it's been unusually cold for this time of year, it's nowhere near COLD cold , perhaps low 40s - 50s at night.

Well, first time I turn it on in the morning, the car will start idling erratically (sputtering). It will stay that way if I just leave it on. If I turn it off and turn it back on again, everything seems fine.

This is a 2-week old car! I shouldn't be having this...any ideas before I head over to the dealer?

I had the same problem when the weather got colder. Have your dealer check the cold starting problem in the TSB. The fix is a reflash of your car's computer. It also helps smooth out the ruff shifting from a stop.

I just had the tech dept. call me from the dealership.

Guy told me that it's because I put Sam's Club gas in the car and that I would need to use a more "brand name" gas (i.e. Chevron, Shell).

Note that I used Premium when I filled up, only that it was at Sam's Club.

Any truth to this?
