Can anyone tell me if i am required to put V rated tire on the car? I am looking to put a T rated tire on the car so i can get a higher mileage tire. I can get H or V rated but i never go that fast anyways and don't need the extra performance. Will the dealership take the car back from lease with T rated tires? Thanks

A t-rated tire will negatively affect the handling.

Just make sure the car only has 'normal wear and tear' at the end of the lease

They won't even notice what tire you have on there when you turn the car in.

You need to have the same rating tire as the OEM tires. Around here (Houston TX) they will charge you for substandard tire but not for a different brand with the same rating. The tire needs to have at least 4/32 tread on it at the time of your lease return. I do all the lease returns for our dealership so I actually know what I'm talking about.

I would not sacrifice that tire... its what keeps you connected to the road.. would you wear cheap tires, if you were walking around the track??

True you are not running, but even nice walking shoes cost $$$$
