I like what you are doing. I'm going a simpler route using the 7 series as a model. I noticed at the carwash recently the similarities between our front lower valance and the 7's.
I'm putting in projectors like these - mounted toward the outside...just waiting on a quote to come back from my installer. The existing wiring will be used to where the switch on the stalk operates the fogs. Kind of plug and play.
All it will require is a clean cut and mount, and the wiring to the upper headlight housing. Since i'm using the existing harness, the upper fogs will no longer work. Exactly what i want!
The side fake vents are quite small, so trying to decide wether i want round, or oval fogs.
Thoughts?

Intersting and creative project. Will this go OVER the existing grill or will it require the existing grill to be cut out?
I'm not sure about the Journey, but on the sport ... the fake grill is molded with the bumper and not an attached part. In other words, the stock grill would need to be cut out if anyone ever wanted to open it up.

Exactly.
On my Sport, they will remove the bumper, cut the plastic mesh exactly, mount the driving light where just the lense shows, then wire the lights to the existing harness.
And I should have a factory looking driving light.
I would normally worry about the install, but the shop does Astons, Spikers, Bentley and such. So I think they should be ok with my Infiniti. heh heh

Terry, yes they need to be cut. It's just like the sport, only uglier.
