Quoted a lease deal, good one?

Thoughts on this lease offer?
I'm looking for a Journey with Premium & Nav but dealers in the DC area seem to only have 35x in stock. I'm told that a Journey would need to be transported from another dealer in Raleigh and this cost would need to be covered somehow.
So I'm being offered a G35x with Premium and Nav, splash guards & cargo net, MSRP $40,180.
Specs:
39 month 15k/year at $460/month.
$3980 due at signing includes
$299 doc fee,
$595 lease fee,
$289 MD licence fee, and
$2337 MD taxes.
Money factor is 0.00172,
cap cost offered here is $37882, invoice $36715.
I'd like to get the cash due lower and I figure the $900 in dealer fees is an easy way to do this. I also think I can get closer to invoice, considering the fact that I'm not specifically looking for the 35x.
Thoughts?

That's not bad but I've seen better ones. I seem to think 24 month leases are getting better deals than 39s. See this thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...ighlight=lease
Similar car but he's paying $900 less at signing and his payment is only like $30 more. I guess they're pretty similar but people below in that post are reporting that better numbers can be had.
The G35 isn't exactly a fuel-efficient vehicle and right now car sales are slow. Wait until the end of June and get them to give it away.

I told my sales rep that I need the due at signing to be under 3k and was told that it'd be tough to do without raising the monthly but if he could do it, am I ready to sign? Obviously that means he can do it and wants a commitment. I expect to hear back that he's cut it to $2995.
Is it worth negotiating service on a lease?

I don't have all the details handy...but I just leased an 08 premium/nav journey for 24/mo 12kmiles per yr/ and 5k down for $359/mo. It was a big down payment but I had traded in an SUV and wanted to keep my payment low for the term of the lease.
I did my negiotating on the trade-in value of my SUV. Still got the shaft tho....

Don't negotiate service. Don't even service the car, it's a lease, not your problem. Also, the service schedule for this car from most dealers is ridiculous. I have a 39 month lease, I plan on changing the oil about 12 times, that's it. I don't need anyone to inspect my brakes or anything else. Even if I were to own the car, I'd probably change the tranny, diff, and radiator fluid at 30k and that's it.
They're probably going to sell you $1500-2000 worth of unnecessary service. Just get 12, $30 oil changes.

Ok, well of course he came back with 3k due and $459/month for 39 month 15k, and 477 for 24 month 15k. Still based on a 0.00172 money factor which they say is best available. Invoice price of $36715, cap cost of $36995. This is for a G35x with Premium/Nav.
I called another dealer who said they could beat that. This is the same car but also with Tech package, MSRP 40,825, invoice 37,225, cap cost 36,600 ($600 below invoice). Money factor here is 0.00131, better than first dealer offered. All quotes with 3k due (MD tax/licence ~$2300 plus 1st month, plus fees) and 15k/year:
24 months: $446
36 months: $446
39 months: $432
I like the 24 month deal here. Now I'm wondering, is there a proper etiquette
here in terms of playing them off each other? I've been dealing much more with the first guy but in my view the 2nd guy just swooped in and offered a better deal.

carz, I mentioned your exact deal to 2 dealers now and asked them to come close. After checking their computers, both said it's because on NY taxes vs. MD taxes. One offered your deal to me if I could register the car in NY. Even VA which is 10 miles away could get me under $400. They checked a bunch of east coast states and pretty much all came in under $400/month with the others specs constant, aside from MD. But they also said that all states will get us somewhere, whether it be lease taxes or year end personal property taxes you might pay on the car.
Sound right or blowing smoke?
edit: First guy said he can't touch the 2nd guy's quote.

i got a pretty great deal
i pay $419.62/month for my 07 G35S with every option except 4WAS. my lease is a 39 month lease at 15k miles/year.
i traded in my last car which they valued at $7k and any dealer costs, taxes, delivery costs, etc were taken care of with that trade-in amount.
i searched locally at 3 different dealers here in south Florida and i found nowhere near as good of a deal as i ended up getting from a dealership in Pennsylvania. again, the cost of them shipping the car down from Penn to Florida was covered as well.
i actually signed the papers on my dining room table and no cash changed hands. they brought my new car to me, and drove my old one away. probably the easiest car buying/leasing experience ever.
